Executive coaching

Executive coaching is becoming one of the UK's biggest industries with more corporations turning to coaching and mentoring to get results!

Indeed, Terry Elston, one of Forlifecoach.com directors, was asked to run trainings and then one-to-one executive coaching for the latest cabinet office in Whitehall.

One of the reasons executive coaching has turned up trumps is that conventional therapy is not looked at favourably in the UK, so all those stresses and strains have to be looked after by someone!

So what's the difference between normal coaching and executive coaching?

Executive coaching will involve working with decision makers in a corporation or self-run business that depends on results, and quickly!

You may not have to be so touchy feely as with therapy clients and coaching and you will have to be as hard nosed as the clients that come your way.

On one coaching session, one of our lead coaches had to pour a glass of water over the candidates head to get him to listen well. You'll be happy to hear they are both now working together on a business venture!

If you are having coaching from a Forlifecoach coach, what should you expect?

Stimulated, stretched and supported. That’s how it feels to work with us. Safe too, because we create a confidential space in which clients can talk about what’s on their mind, share insights, think the unthinkable, come up with alternatives and rehearse their next steps. It’s an enjoyable, rewarding and enriching experience.

We are entirely dedicated to building the capability of all the leaders, boards and top teams we work with. Our job is to help them succeed. We apply our skill and expertise to their individual circumstances, work hard to understand their agenda and design our contribution accordingly. We don’t have a fixed approach.

Every client gets the benefit of fresh thinking as well as deep experience. Behind the scenes, we devote a lot of time to our own professional development.  This keeps us on our toes and makes sure we have interesting things to say that add value to our clients. I personally, regularly take training courses to keep my performance up to scratch. It's not enough to be well trained, get results and then just sit back in a comfort zone. The old saying 'use it or lose it' comes to mind here!

And once someone works with us, they become part of an informal network whose members contribute to each other and share new thinking. It’s a useful, friendly place to be. This network becomes an exquisite set of resources so your corporation gets looked after and you can save on the HR budget!

So whether you are a company looking for executive coaching, or wanting training to this level, please contact us soon!
